Welcome to the Chicago Torske Klub Web Site at torskeklub.org! It's
good to be in Chicago on the second Saturday of the month. We will update
this monthly for current events and dinner meeting news.

April 13, 2013- Jon Satrum on Roald Amundsen - Polar Explorer
We
were pleased to welcome Jon Satrum to speak about Roald Amundsen at our April
luncheon. You may recall that Jon spoke to us last year on "Norwegians in
Hawaii". Thanks to Greg LeDuc as torskemaster.

Special Items
The Three Kings - by Rob Alsaker - Submitted in the May 2007 newsletter, this is an article
about Robert and Evy Alsaker's adventure in Norway searching for the origins of a
photo of the three kings of Scandinavia Countries and ending up viewing the
compass that Roald Amundsen took to the South Pole.
Check

Future Events
Future events are our Saturday luncheons, every 2nd Saturday of every month that
contains
the letter "R", plus May.
Our program chairman announces the coming events:
- April 13, 2013- Jon Satrum on Roald Amundsen
- May 11, 2013 - Anniversary of Torske Klub
- June, July, August 2013 - Rest, golf and fish; not necessarily in that order.
- Other programs to be announced. All programs are subject to change.
